According to the report of WABetaInfo, changes will be made in the paper-clip options in the new update. WhatsApp has expanded the options to choose from. On clicking the paper-clip option, options for application image, document, audio, contact, location and add a poll appeared. After the update, there will be another option to create an application event.


Once created, members will be able to view and accept the event invitation within the group chat. Also, the creator will have the ability to update the event details as per the need. It is important to note that events are always securely end-to-end encrypted. This means that only conversation participants have access to event details and communications. This maintains the privacy of all group members.


This update is being released in a phased manner. Therefore, the events feature for group chats is available to some users. It is available to users who have installed the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android from Google Play Store and it will be available to more people in the coming days. This stable and beta version will be available to both users.
